The Octagon returned to Philadelphia for tonight’s UFC 330 event, and four fighters wound up taking home performance bonuses.
The 12-bout fight card was headlined by a welterweight title fight featuring Islam Makhachev taking on Ian Machado Garry. The highly anticipated contest proved to be a tough test for the reigning champ. Despite taking home the first two rounds, Ian Garry stormed back to make things interesting in rounds three and four. However, the Russian showed off his grit in the final five minutes, dominating Garry in the fifth and final round to secure the win.
UFC 330 was co-headlined by a women’s strawweight title fight between Mackenzie Dern and Gillian Robertson. The bout resulted in a dominant performance from Mackenzie Dern. The reigning champ was able to get the better of the challenger both in the standup and on the ground for the duration of their twenty-five-minute battle, ultimately cruising to a unanimous decision victory.
Following the conclusion of tonight’s event, UFC officials announced at the post-fight press conference that 4 fighters would be taking home performance bonuses.
