Wild Wits and Curve Games have officially announced the release date of Sovereign Tower. The game will launch as a narrative-driven Round Table management RPG on August 6, solidifying a release date after an earlier August window was announced.
In addition to announcing the release date, a brand-new trailer has been released; blending statements from journalists and developers about the game’s story with many of the strange and humorous comments the community has made about the game.
As a medieval fantasy RPG, players are tasked with ruling over a magical tower while simultaneously managing a group of oddball knights who complete quests and may or may not save your kingdom from itself.
As the Sovereign (the ruler) of the magical tower located in the kingdom of Brizh, you make judgment calls regarding the direction and progression of your kingdom. Unlike most RPGs, direct combat does not exist within Sovereign Tower.

Players are free to recruit knights to assist in completing tasks or to send them out on quests. The strengths, weaknesses, personalities, and quirks of each knight will be used to guide their success. The opinions of the public, the availability of resources, the presence of secret relationships among the court members, and court politics create the foundation upon which the game progresses.
Failure is also managed within Sovereign Tower using a time loop mechanism. If at any point a player allows their kingdom to fall, they may return to a previous time, retain knowledge gained from their previous attempts, and pursue new conversation topics, different quest results, and previously unseen paths.
Before the release of Sovereign Tower, players will once again have the opportunity to sample the gameplay experience during Steam Next Fest. A new demo version of the game is scheduled for June 15th.

The demo update will provide players with access to a significant amount of additional content. Act 0, the playable prologue to the game that describes how the Sovereign became sovereign, is included. With such an emphasis placed on the player’s role as ruler, providing context to the beginning of the game is essential, and adding more weight to the early stages of the game will be important.
The demo will also feature additional content for Act 1. Players will be able to select from two primary quests: Groveshire and Gavault.

Each of these quests includes new playable knights and multiple secrets waiting to be uncovered. Both elements are key features of this type of RPG, as players derive enjoyment from discovering how various personalities interact with difficult situations and ultimately how those interactions affect the overall health of their kingdom.
Developed by Wild Wits (a French developer), creators of Crown Gambit and Aetheris, Sovereign Tower will be published by Curve Games.
After launching on Steam on August 6th, players will first have the opportunity to sample Sovereign Tower via an updated demo, which will go live on June 15th as part of Steam Next Fest.
