Paddy Pimblett has taken a lighthearted jab at his former opponent, Michael Chandler.
“The Baddy” loves to enjoy life and binge eat whenever he does not have a fight coming up. Although most professional fighters stay in shape through the year, Pimblett is not one of them. In fact, the Liverpudilan puts on a good amount of weight during his offseason and cuts most of it 2-3 months before entering the octagon.
Recently, during a sit-down with Jeremy Piven, Pimblett opined that he considers himself the most disciplined fighter, although he does what he wants when he is not in fight camp.
Pimblett then used Michael Chandler as an example of a fighter who trains year-round and eats the right things. But on fight night, that disciplined lifestyle doesn’t often help “Iron,” and his UFC record proves it. The Brit said:
“I am out of camp I do what I want. I’d want to actually have a life. Michael Chandler, who I fought, is in camp like 24/7. He always eats diet meals and he’s always in shape but it didn’t help him when he fought me.”

Michael Chandler’s “See you at the top!” Series
To promote a healthy lifestyle, Michael Chandler regularly shares fitness training videos, showcasing his daily cardio and strength training sessions. However, fans have often urged “Iron” to add sparring to his routine rather than focusing solely on cardio and strength training.

Chandler is currently on a four-fight losing skid. He was knocked out by Mauricio Ruffy in Round 1 at the White House on June 14. Before that, at UFC 314, he was TKO’d by Paddy Pimblett.
Despite his recent form, Chandler remains an explosive and entertaining fighter. The 40-year-old hopes to finally fight Conor McGregor and get his long-awaited “red panty night” before riding off into the sunset.
