It’s another big week for turn-based RPGs, with eye-catching new releases, compelling Early-Access titles, and neat demos showcasing what’s next.
It is fortunate that our beloved genre has an excellent pulse because of the abundance of new releases daily. It’s very challenging to stay current with everything that will be released, but for this, you can count on your friendly neighborhood Italian (me).
Whether you prefer your RPGs story-heavy or focused on rules and systems, you’re sure to find something new and exciting to try this week. Check out our picks below, and share any that I may have missed!
Dosa Divas
- Developer: Outerloop Games
- Release Date: 14 April, 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page
This cozy, heartfelt RPG is all about family and food; as sisters Amani and Samara, you’ll use your combination mech and food truck to craft delicious meals from local ingredients while battling an evil, corporate fast-food empire!
Between cooking minigames and turn-based combat with timed inputs, this is a delicious adventure with some serious panache.
Dosa Divas has a free demo available on Steam, and is discounted 10% for the first two weeks of its launch. You can also get it bundled with a couple of other games, including Outerloop’s previous culinary RPG Thirsty Suitors.
Smash it Wild: Tactical Volleyball Roguelike
- Developer: Goblinz Studio, Ernestine
- Release Date: 16 April, 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

Smash It Wild feels a bit like an anthropomorphic sports anime in roguelite form. You’ll build your team, develop your players’ skills, and direct them on the field grid to serve, bump, and spike your way to victory. It’s a single-elimination league, though, so one loss means the end of your run!
If you’re looking for a roguelite that’s a little different, you can try Smash It Wild‘s demo on Steam for free. The game itself is offered at a generous 20% off until the end of April, so if it’s your kind of game, then you can save by getting in early.
Sol Cesto
- Developer: Tambouille, Geraud Zucchini, Chariospirale
- Release Date: 10 April, 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

Most roguelites have a bit of luck to them, but Sol Cesto really makes you balance risk with reward. Rather than just choosing your next encounter, you’ll pick one of four floors to drop onto, then get randomly assigned one of that floor’s four possible fates. Could it be treasure? A trap? A deadly foe? Sol Cesto is a game that makes you seriously ask, “what’s the worst that could happen?”
Launching into 1.0 last week after its Early Access period, Sol Cesto is 33% off until 24 April and bundled with a few other roguelikes to boot. If you like tense dungeon dives and an in-your-face art style, definitely check this one out.
Sovereign Tower (Demo)
- Developer: Wild Wits Games
- Release Date: August 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

Tried few days ago, Sovereign Tower gives you a first-person view from the throne, combining visual novel and RPG elements as you manage your retinue of retainers in commanding the kingdom. The knights of the realm are a strange bunch, and they might not get the job done quite as you intend, so you’ll need to keep an eye on their abilities and ambitions to keep everyone in line.
The game looks like a blast, and we can’t wait to see what kind of monarchic mischief we can get into now that the demo is available on Steam. Give it a try, and Wishlist Sovereign Tower for its release this August.
King’s Downfall
- Developer: Lukas Osouch
- Release Date: 16 April, 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

There’s nothing quite like building up a city, raising an army, and bringing about the fall of a tyrant.
With King’s Downfall, you can do all of that in a few hours, without stressful micromanagement. It could be the perfect way to wind down after a stressful day when your brain is fried but you need some strategy gameplay to decompress!
King’s Downfall is 40% off until the end of April, which is great considering it was only $7.99 to start with, and it has a free demo available as well. It’s also offered as part of several bundles, letting you get some neat indie deals for less than $15.
Knightstones (Demo)
- Developer: WillGreen Studio
- Release Date: Q1 2027
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

Knightstones puts you in command of a fantasy army, planning your campaigns from your strategy table.
The entire war is played out as pawns on the table in front of you as your Order clashes with the powerful Inquisition. For such a simple premise, Knightstones has some very enticing visuals that bring the world to life, even from the relative safety of the general’s camp.
The game isn’t expected to launch until next year, but the free demo on Steam is an omen of good things to come. Give it a shot, and be sure to Wishlist and Follow Knightstones to keep track of its progress over the next several months.
For The Warp: Void Echoes (DLC)
- Developer: Massive Galaxy Studios
- Release Date: 15 April, 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

If you’re a fan of deck builders and excellent pixel art, you’ve probably already played 2022’s fantastic For The Warp.
If you missed it, now is a great time to give the game another look, as the Void Echoes DLC just launched for the PC version (sorry, console players). Not only does Void Echoes add new ships, enemies, and more, but it gives the base game content a major balance pass and quality-of-life overhaul. Be warned, Void Echoes is designed to be a challenge for more experienced players!
The base game of For The Warp is currently listed at its full price of $14.99 on Steam, but the DLC is 10% off until 29 April. For existing players, it could be time to reinstall!
Full Metal Sergeant 2
- Developer: CarloC
- Release Date: 13 April, 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

Strategy gamers, you’ve commanded troops in the field across dozens of different games… how would you be at training them?
In Full Metal Sergeant 2, you’re tasked with building the ultimate boot camp to turn raw recruits into the fighting force of tomorrow, then shipping them straight to the front lines to see if your training paid off.
The sequel to 2023’s Full Metal Sergeant, FMS2 is 15% off on Steam until 27 April, and you can get the two games bundled together for the full experience.
Duo Quest (Demo)
- Developer: 1+1 Studios
- Release Date: Coming Soon
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

What if It Takes Two was a deck-builder? Duo Quest is an exclusively co-op roguelite that challenges you and a friend to save a fantasy world side-by-side. Your knowledge of one another will be tested as much as your teamwork and combat skills, so be sure to pick the right partner for this one!
Duo Quest has a demo available on Steam, so grab a buddy and try it out! There’s no word yet on when the full game will launch, but if you and your teammate end up wanting more, be sure to Wishlist and Follow the game to keep track of it as development continues.
Ruinlander (E.A.)
- Developer: wineviper
- Release Date: 13 April, 2026
- Platform: Windows, Linux
- Steam Page

Ruinlander is the latest survival sim to test your mettle in a harsh, open world, and it’s not here to pull punches.
Exploring the wastes after a nuclear cataclysm, you’ll fight, scavenge, and trade to survive. If the mutants and bandits don’t get you, the radiation and weather might… or simple starvation could be what does it in the end.
Ruinlander entered Early Access this week, and the developer wants to use the next year or so to polish the game’s intricate systems. It’s an ambitious sandbox, so we’re excited to see where it goes. Give the demo a try, or grab the game at its introductory Early Access price; it’s discounted 15% until the 19th of April.
Revenge of the Firstborn (Demo)
- Developer: Sawtooth Games
- Release Date: TBA
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

If you have fond memories of 3.5 as the ultimate version if Dungeons & Dragons, then Revenge of the Firstborn is the indie CRPG for you. Built on the rules that spawned the famous d20 system, this game has the classic combat and monsters that shaped roleplaying at the dawn of the millennium.
Of course, it’s not just a rules set; there’s a full story full of consequential choices and world-spanning adventures to be had. The demo on Steam gives a first look at what to expect when Revenge of the Firstborn eventually launches.
CEO Sim: Cyberpunk
- Developer: JAD Labs
- Release Date: 16 April, 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

Cyberpunk games tend to be about tearing down corporate power, that’s where the “punk” part comes from, after all.
CEO Sim, as its name implies, puts you in the expensive shoes of the genre’s untouchable villains. With billions at your disposal, the only thing you have to fear is the Board of Directors and the ambitions of lackeys who want your job.
It’s always fun to play the bad guys for a change of pace, and CEO Sim: Cyberpunk offers engaging story and management gameplay in equal measure. A free demo is available on Steam, and the game is discounted 10% until 26 April.
Eastwynne (Demo)
- Developer: WTS2
- Release Date: 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

In this CRPG-meets-visual-novel, magic is a perfectly reasonable field of study in the universities of modern-day. As a new student, you’ll explore your new home, the titular city of Eastwynne, while getting to know your fellow students and following their stories throughout the year.
While the full game isn’t expected until later this year, Eastwynne has a demo available on Steam and a Kickstarter campaign underway. If you love a good magical school story, give it a try and see which students you’d like to learn more about at launch!
Intermundia: Dungeons, Polygons & Magic
- Developer: Trinity Team, Excaliber
- Release Date: 14 April, 2026
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

Intermundia bridges the gap between physical gamebooks and digital RPGs, telling its story through literary pages and dungeon-crawling combat in equal measure. You can also get a physical book that can be scanned via an app to enhance gameplay, adding a neat level of immersion and interactivity.
Intermundia might seem like a bit of a hard concept to grasp at first, but luckily there’s a free demo available so you can see for yourself what it’s all about. The Early Access version, which launched earlier this week, is also fairly inexpensive at $5.99, though there’s still plenty of work to be done before launch.
HIJACKED (Demo)
- Developer: SigmaX
- Release Date: TBA
- Platform: Windows
- Steam Page

Hijacked is a neat tactical battler where you don’t control any units of your own; as a digital parasite, you can possess your cybernetic enemies one at a time, turning them against one another as they try to contain you for their corporate overlords.
Based on that concept alone, we’re excited to see what puzzling tactical situations we can get ourselves into (and out of).
There’s no release date yet for Hijacked, but the demo serves as a great introduction to what we can expect when it does eventually launch.
