The Ministry of National Defense stated that at 0633 hours today (March 13), the PRC conducted a launch mission involving a carrier rocket carrying satellites at the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan. The rocket’s flight path passed through the southwest part of Taiwan’s Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) toward the Western Pacific Ocean, at an altitude outside the atmosphere, posing no threat to Taiwan. The ROC Armed Forces employed the joint intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems to closely monitor the relevant developments and maintained appropriate alert and response measures.
