This report provides a review of survey efforts and best practices for measuring gender norms among very young adolescents (VYAs) ages 10 to 14 in low- and middle-income countries. Drawing on literature and expert consultations, the authors assess major platforms—including the Global Early Adolescent Study and Gender and Adolescence Global Evidence study—and identify practices to improve valid, age-appropriate gender norms measurement among VYAs.
