Amman’s Roman Theatre has been standing since the second century. On October 30, it gets a cage. DF UNCAGED will bring professional MMA to the Jordanian landmark, with Mohammad Fakhreddine facing Welsh fighter John Martin Fraser on a card headlined by Mukhammad Berkhamov against Dante Schiro.
History outside the fence, business as usual inside it. The Friday event anchors Jordan MMA Week, running October 27–30. Behind it are Makana 360 and Jordan Combat Consulting, with the creators of Desert Force launching a new property rather than simply giving their old promotion another name. The stated goal is to give Arab fighters a professional platform while bringing international opponents to Jordan.
Fakhreddine enters the advertised matchup at 18-5, while Fraser brings an 11-6 record and experience in Cage Warriors and UAE Warriors. Their bout is scheduled at a 92kg catchweight, giving the Welshman a chance to add one of Arab MMA’s most recognisable names to his record.
DF UNCAGED
The Lebanese fighter’s résumé explains the attention. He won BRAVE CF’s middleweight championship in September 2020, then stopped Mohamed Said Maalem in March 2022 to claim the light heavyweight belt and become the promotion’s first simultaneous two-division champion.
He reclaimed middleweight gold by knocking out Erko Jun in the first round in June 2025. His BRAVE CF Hall of Fame induction was announced that October. Fraser is getting a decorated opponent, not a nostalgia booking. There is more than one familiar name on the bill. Former ACA welterweight champion Berkhamov, listed at 17-3, meets American Schiro, 13-6, in the main event. Andrew Sanchez, the former UFC middleweight who won “The Ultimate Fighter 23”, is scheduled against Russia’s Mikhail Ragozin in the co-main event.
The venue is part of the pitch, not just the backdrop. Organisers plan to place the cage on the Roman Theatre’s orchestra floor, beneath stone seating with an approximate capacity of 6,000. That is the theatre’s stated capacity, rather than a confirmed number of tickets available for fight night. Temporary infrastructure and protection of the historic site are part of the event plans.
The public schedule starts with an October 27 press conference at the nearby Odeon Theatre. Open training follows at the Dead Sea Corniche on October 28, with weigh-ins at the Amman Citadel on October 29. Fight night will also feature artistic performances and heritage displays. Tickets are available through Tzkrti, whose listing shows an event window of 5pm to 11pm. The programme operates under the supervision of the Jordan Mixed Martial Arts Federation, with support from tourism bodies, municipal officials and government agencies.
