icefill has announced to launch its beloved turn-based strategy roguelike title, Crawl Tactics, on both Android and iOS on May 13, 2026. Inspired by Final Fantasy Tactics and Darkest Dungeon-style dungeons, this indie game first launched on PC in 2022 and is now open for pre-registration on mobile.
Get ready to build your town and defend against enemy invasions
So, Crawl Tactics blends classic SRPG combat with roguelike progression while also adding fun environmental interaction mechanics. And I like that it is not focusing on a puzzle-like gameplay, as the battle feels more strategy-driven with careful planning around terrain, enemy positioning, skill synergies, and more.
I’m especially eager to try the Dungeon mode, where every run feels new thanks to procedurally generated maps and challenging battles. And if you want something more, the Quest mode also lets you build up your own town, train mercenaries, and survive stronger enemy invasions.
You can freely customize skills, enjoy 8-unit battles, and more
As you progress, you can customize various skills, equipment, classes, abilities, and even character appearances. I also like how we can grow our characters through the New Game Plus by clearing the base dungeons. But the best part? You can dive into full 8-unit battle parties if solo gameplay is not your thing.
And combat is actually fun, since terrain and traps affect both allies and enemies, letting you burn grass, electrify water, and more. Overall, the game looks worth trying with its dungeon crawling, NPCs, customization, push-and-throw mechanics, and more. While expensive, you should surely try it out.
Crawl Tactics is set to launch on both Android and iOS on May 13, 2026, for $9.99. So, you can now pre-register for the game via your respective Google Play Store or App Store. Meanwhile, you can also check out our upcoming mobile games list.
