A few days ago, I published an article covering some of the latest XCOM-like strategy RPGs. Today, I’m returning to XCOM, this time because of an interesting Humble Bundle that has launched a new collection dedicated to publisher 2K, bringing together 15 PC games for a minimum payment of $15.
The 2K Megahits 2026 Bundle covers everything from shooters and horror adventures to real-time and turn-based strategy, with all included titles delivered as individual Steam keys. The offer is scheduled to remain available through August 7, 2026.
Obviously for us, turn based lovers, the strongest reason to take a closer look is the inclusion of both XCOM: Enemy Unknown and X-COM: UFO Defense.
X-COM: UFO Defense represents the series’ original, more demanding approach. Players oversee the entire X-COM organization, intercept unidentified aircraft, establish bases, research recovered alien technology, manufacture new equipment, and deploy squads to investigate crash sites.
The campaign also requires careful attention to international funding, as governments can withdraw their support when the organization fails to contain the growing threat.
XCOM: Enemy Unknown, meanwhile, is Firaxis Games’ 2012 reimagining of that formula. It retains the combination of global management and turn-based ground operations while presenting its systems through a more streamlined structure.

Players command individual soldiers during tactical missions, expand an underground headquarters, research alien technology, manage limited resources, and decide which countries to assist as attacks spread around the world.
Having both games in the same bundle makes this a particularly interesting package for anyone curious about how XCOM evolved. The original offers more granular management and a harsher learning curve, while Enemy Unknown provides a more approachable entry point without removing the pressure, difficult decisions, and costly battlefield mistakes that define the series.
Outside XCOM, the bundle contains a broad selection of recognizable 2K releases. The complete lineup includes:
- Risk of Rain 2
- Borderlands 3 Standard Edition
- Mafia II: Definitive Edition
- BioShock Infinite
- Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
- The Quarry
- Tribes of Midgard Deluxe Edition
- Homeworld Remastered Collection
- Tales from the Borderlands
- Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition
- Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour
- Hidden & Dangerous Bundle
- The Darkness II
- X-COM: UFO Defense
- XCOM: Enemy Unknown
Other strategy highlights include Homeworld Remastered Collection, which updates the first two entries in the space-based real-time strategy series. The remaining selection ranges from the cooperative roguelike action of Risk of Rain 2 to narrative-focused games such as Tales from the Borderlands and The Quarry.
A portion of each purchase supports Covenant House, an organization assisting young people affected by homelessness and human trafficking. Buyers should also note that the Steam keys supplied through the bundle must be redeemed before February 7, 2027.
