Ukraine’s Independence Day parade in Kyiv on August 24 included a new naval drone, the MV11, from the Ukrainian company UFORCE. It is the largest vessel yet built in the company’s MAGURA family, an unmanned surface vessel line credited with helping push Russia’s Black Sea Fleet back from Ukrainian waters.
The parade marked the first time Ukraine has staged a dedicated public display of unmanned systems for its Independence Day, held this year on the Dnipro River as part of the country’s 35th anniversary. The MV11 appeared alongside other current MAGURA models.
Unlike earlier MAGURA vessels built primarily for strike missions, the MV11 is designed as a transport and support platform. It is built to operate in open ocean rather than coastal waters, and it carries a payload of up to 2,200 kg (4,850 pounds) with an endurance of up to seven days at sea.

UFORCE said the vessel is meant to launch, resupply and support other unmanned systems far from shore, functioning as a mobile base for maritime operations. The company said the MV11 is intended for reconnaissance, surveillance, support of amphibious operations and resupply of fuel and equipment to other naval drones.

The MV11 was developed by UFORCE’s design and research bureau in Portugal, with international investment, as an addition to the MAGURA line.

The MAGURA family has been UFORCE’s primary naval product since it entered combat use in 2024. Ukrainian officials have said MAGURA drones contributed to the sinking or damaging of at least a dozen Russian naval vessels, part of a campaign that forced much of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet out of its former operating areas near Crimea. A MAGURA V7 variant carried out what Ukraine described as the first successful naval drone strike against an aerial target in late 2024, using AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles.
UFORCE has been expanding beyond Ukraine this year. In July, the company signed a memorandum of understanding with the U.S. boatbuilder ReconCraft to manufacture MAGURA vessels in Oregon and South Carolina, following a ceremony at the Embassy of Ukraine in Washington. ReconCraft co-founder Joe Silkowski has said the partnership is intended to eventually produce hundreds, and later thousands, of MAGURA vessels annually for the U.S. market. The value of that agreement has not been disclosed.
MAGURA vessels also took part in the U.S.-Philippines Balikatan exercise in April 2026, where the drones reportedly sank a target ship during a live-fire demonstration in the Luzon Strait.
Rogynskyy has framed UFORCE’s role in broader terms in past statements tied to the MV11 unveiling.
“Russia out-produces us in every classical category. Men, shells, missiles, armour. So we made the speed of change itself our main weapon,” Rogynskyy said.
UFORCE was formed by consolidating nine Ukrainian unmanned systems developers into a single company, combining Ukrainian wartime engineering with Western financing and governance. By early 2026, the company had more than 1,000 personnel across manufacturing, software development and field support, with a supply chain spanning more than 15 locations in six allied countries.
UFORCE has not disclosed a production timeline or unit cost for the MV11, and the company has not said how many vessels have been built or ordered. The standard MAGURA V7, by comparison, is about 7.6 meters long, carries over 770 kg of payload across distances exceeding 560 km, and costs under $500,000 depending on configuration.
