UFC lightweight contender Paddy Pimblett has a date for his return to the Octagon.
Pimblett, a former Cage Warriors champ from Liverpool, UK, was last seen in action in January, when he suffered a decision loss to Justin Gaethje in a bid for the UFC interim lightweight title. That was definitely a big setback for the Brit — and it left him battered and bruised — but he is now set to get back to the drawing board.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Pimblett revealed that the date for his return to action is set.
He will fight again at UFC 329, which caps off the promotion’s annual International Fight Week celebration in Las Vegas. The card is set for July 11.

“I’m gonna be fighting in 12 weeks,” Pimblett said. “July 11, it’s gonna be.”
While Pimblett revealed the date for his UFC return, he did not specify his opponent. That detail should be revealed fairly soon, but fellow lightweight contenders like Benoit Saint Denis, Mateusz Gamrot, Arman Tsarukyan, Dan Hooker and Renato Moicano all seem like viable options.
Outside of Pimblett’s return, not much is known about UFC 329. The card is widely expected to be headlined by the return of MMA superstar Conor McGregor. However, the Irishman has been plotting a comeback for years, and it still hasn’t happened, so there’s plenty of skepticism about that. We also known heavyweight prospect Gable Steveson will debut on the card. However, like Pimblett, we don’t know who he’ll fight yet.
Who do you think Paddy Pimblett should meet in his next UFC fight?
