Tony Ferguson’s title fight has been shaken up.
Misfits Boxing announced Tuesday that Ferguson is now set to defend his middleweight title against former Olympic wrestler Mahmoud Sebie. Ferguson was originally scheduled to fight Kenzo Biyong this Saturday, but Biyong was forced to withdraw due to “travel complications.”

Ferguson, a longtime UFC lightweight contender, became Misfits Boxing’s middleweight champion following an interim title fight win over Salt Papi and a subsequent championship victory over Warren Spencer. In his most recent combat sports outing, Ferguson lost via tech fall to Arman Tsarukyan at RAF 10 in June, but now returns to the boxing ring to defend his belt.
Sebie is a former Olympic Greco-Roman wrestler, who represented Egypt at the 2016 games before later attempting a move to Team USA. Unfortunately for Sebie, the 2020 games were postponed by the COVID-19 pandemic and he instead retired from wrestling competition. He has also competed for RAF, losing via tech fall to Zahid Valencia at RAF 6.
Misfits Boxing takes place Saturday at James L. Knight Center in Miami, and is headlined by former two-division UFC champion Henry Cejudo making his pro boxing debut against Most Valuable Promotions prospect and actor Wanna Walton.
