The Mixup 2026 is a Master event for Tekken 8 on the Tekken World Tour and not only that, it also has 3 spots for Esports World Cup up for grabs for the same title so the Tekken players have very much showed up to play.
This is also an event on the SNK World Championship circuit for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, King of Fighters 15 and Samurai Shodown, a Competitive Series event for 2XKO as well as a Arc World Tour event for Guilty Gear Strive and CyGames World Cup event for Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising.
As one may expect given what’s at stake, there are almost 300 participants for Tekken 8 present at the event. Street Fighter 6 is next in line with over 170 players followed by Guilty Gear Strive with almost 100 signups and 2XKO landing at around 90 names.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves hit over 50 players closely followed by Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising and Vampire Savior, both of which almost made the 50 mark.
There will also be bracket play for Melty Blood Type Lumina, Super Street Fighter 2: Turbo, Samurai Shodown, Ultra Street Fighter 4, Under Night In-Birth 2 [Sys:celes], King of Fighters 15, Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike, Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2, Invincible VS and a wealth of older Tekken titles put on by the community to truly celebrate the series.
Streaming is being done at Tekken, Reversal GG, zDamascus, Kahikusu, FlashNo47 and The Mixup Lyon.
