PlayStation 4 users can now access the game’s online features again
Update: Capcom has now released a new update for the PlayStation 4 version of Street Fighter 6 to fix issues from the Ingrid patch with more details added to the story below.
Street Fighter 6 just received its expansive Ingrid update last night to cap off Season 3, but it appears the application wasn’t a smooth experience for everyone.
A multitude of users are reporting that Street Fighter 6 doesn’t function properly in an important way now on at least one system.
Update: Capcom has now released the Version 1.31 patch for Street Fighter 6 on PS4 to fix the problem where players couldn’t log in to the game’s servers at all for around one day.
“We have addressed the issue affecting some PS4 users where the latest version could not be applied. The update is now available for download. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.”
They do note, however, that players should refrain from trying to change the color of “Ingrid’s Hair Ornament” in the Apparel Shop because it can cause the item to disappear from your inventory.

We’ve also heard some rumblings of the Switch 2 version potentially crashing after the Ingrid update when trying to access certain modes though Capcom hasn’t said anything on that front yet.
Original story: Players are running into an issue currently where the game cannot connect to Capcom’s servers on the PlayStation 4.
We tested the Street Fighter 6 on our own PS4 Pro and confirmed this problem is real and appears to be widespread across many or all users on said console.
Booting up Street Fighter on the PS4 presents the error message “Your game is not up to date. Please exit the game and update to the latest version.”
The issue is, though, that the game is already updated to the latest version available, but it will only open in offline mode right now.
So basically, all of Street Fighter’s online modes and content are currently locked for potentially a whole section of the playerbase.
Despite what the game says, the patch has been applied considering Ingrid appears on the character select screen and Avatar Arcade is available to play too.
From what we’ve found so far, there appears to be no fix to this error on the user side of things.
There are multiple reports about Street Fighter 6 not booting properly on PS4 after the last night Ingrid’s update. The game only boots in Offline Mode.

As of the time of reporting, Capcom has not released any statement acknowledging the problem or included it in the known issues section of their patch notes.
Considering the amount of people responding to them on social media, the developers are hopefully aware of the situation.
All players can really do it seems is report the issue themselves and wait for Capcom to implement a fix.
On top of this, every player was informed with this update that Ingrid will apparently be the final DLC character to be added to World Tour mode in Street Fighter 6, though, they haven’t given an explanation for that decision yet either.
Although the PS4 is the oldest hardware supported for Street Fighter 6, there are still thousands of players on the last-gen console around the world left unable to access all of the content and new features in the game.
Street Fighter 6 is of course also available on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC though we’re only seeing reports of this issue on the PS4.
This problem was not present in testing SF6 on the PlayStation 5 and PC.
We’ll update this story once Capcom releases a statement or implements a fix for PS4 users.
