- Pokémon Champions features Ranked Battles, Casual Battles, and Private Battles with familiar mechanics as previous titles.
- The game also lets you connect with Pokémon HOME to bring certain previously befriended Pokémon into battle.
The Pokémon Company opens pre-registration for its latest strategy game, Pokémon Champions, on Android and iOS. First revealed in 2025 for mobile and Nintendo Switch, the game launched on Switch on April 8, 2026, and is now set to arrive on mobile on June 17, 2026. Plus, the game will also debut as the official VGC title at Worlds 2026.
Get ready to build your dream team and battle Trainers from around the world
So, Pokémon Champions is the latest battle-focused strategy game in the beloved IP, bringing back familiar mechanics like Pokémon types, abilities, and even powerful moves. Soon, you’ll be able to test your skills and team against Trainers worldwide in Ranked Battles or simply relax and enjoy the action and iconic mechanics in Casual Battles.
As a longtime Pokémon fan, I can’t wait to collect fan-favorites like Mega Meganium, Mega Emboar, and Mega Feraligatr, all of which first appeared in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. What makes it even more exciting for me is their never-before-seen abilities, with Mega Meganium getting Mega Sol to unleash moves as if harsh sunlight were active, while Mega Emboar’s Mold Breaker Ability lets attack ignore opposing abilities.
Overall, the game looks very promising with its vibrant visuals, game modes like Private Battles where you can battle against your family, friends, and other Trainers, and a solid variety of Pokémon to build your team. Additionally, the game also lets you link to Pokémon HOME to team up with certain Pokémon that you’ve previously befriended, including Delphox and Greninja.
Pokémon Champions is now open for pre-registration on mobile, and you can now pre-register for the game via Google Play and App Store. The game is releasing globally on June 17, 2026, as confirmed by the official X account of Pokémon Champions. Stay tuned for more updates regarding the Android pre-registration. Meanwhile, you can also check out our upcoming mobile games list.
