Mexico City became the stage for an important sequence of activities for KWU SENSHI, bringing together a black belt examination and technical seminars in another meaningful step for the organization’s growth in the country. Among the main highlights were Sensei Ivan Chanes’ promotion to 2nd Dan and the holding of two technical seminars led by Shihan Glaube Feitosa, one in Kyokushin Karate and the other in SENSHI Kickboxing.
On May 29, Sensei Ivan Chanes underwent his black belt examination and was promoted to 2nd Dan, marking an important step in his martial journey. The examination was conducted by Shihan Glaube Feitosa, adding both technical and symbolic significance to the promotion.
This achievement carries even greater weight because of the role Sensei Ivan plays in the development of the organization in the country. He is responsible for KWU SENSHI Mexico and also serves as the organizer of the Mexican Open KWU SENSHI and the technical seminar with Shihan Glaube Feitosa, making him a central figure in the growth and consolidation of KWU SENSHI’s work in Mexico.
On May 30, the program continued with two important seminars in Mexico City. Shihan Glaube Feitosa led a Kyokushin Karate seminar and a SENSHI Kickboxing seminar, expanding technical exchange and offering participants a valuable opportunity to learn directly from one of the major international references in the discipline.
Both the Kyokushin Karate seminar and the SENSHI Kickboxing seminar had 50 participants each, a number that reflects the strong interest, engagement, and energy of the local martial arts community around these initiatives.
More than isolated events, these activities represented an important moment of technical development, leadership formation, and institutional strengthening for KWU SENSHI Mexico. Through promotion, teaching, and integration, the week offered a clear picture of the organization’s progress in the country and of the consistent work being built within the Mexican martial arts scene.
