Flensburg, Germany, June 8, 2026 – Every two years, experts from the military and the industry, as well as interested members of the public, flock to Paris to learn about the latest trends and technical developments at EUROSATORY, the world’s largest trade fair for defense technologies. With over 2,000 exhibitors from more than 60 countries and over 185,000 m² of exhibition space, the trade show is once again a must-attend event for the defense industry this year.
For FFG, this year’s trade show offers the ideal setting to present its innovative solutions in the field of protected combat support vehicles live to an international audience of experts. The focus is particularly on the topic of air defense—an area of capability that has received too little attention for many years, especially in Germany, and whose importance has once again become clear, not least due to the experiences gained from the war in Ukraine.
Accordingly, FFG is showcasing its ACSV (Armored Combat Support Vehicle) at EUROSATORY in two variants designed for air defense. One of these vehicles on display features a remotely controlled turret equipped with a 30-mm main gun for air defense, capable of firing programmable airburst munitions, among other things. In addition, the weapon system can be supplemented with various anti-tank guided missile systems upon customer’s request. Furthermore, the system features modern drone defense capabilities, a fire detection system, and a 360° radar for comprehensive situational awareness. This equipment is complemented by a mine-clearing plow.
With the second ACSV presented at EUROSATORY, FFG is also breaking new ground. A completely newly developed module, the Drone Light Counter UAS module, has been integrated into the carrier vehicle. Equipped with a powerful pulsed laser, it offers impressive drone defense capabilities. The high-energy pulsed laser system from EshTech, acting as a hard-kill effector, forms the core of this cutting-edge module, which, in conjunction with the integrated radar, enables 360° defense against UASs (Unmanned Aerial Systems) at distances of up to one kilometer—with a neutralization rate of up to 30 targets per minute.

With these exhibits, FFG once again underscores the exceptional flexibility of the ACSV concept. By integrating different mission modules, the vehicle can provide a wide range of support roles for combat units and be flexibly adapted to changing operational requirements. This is made possible by the use of standardized ISO container interfaces, which allow the respective modules to be swapped out within a few hours. Therefore, the vehicle’s operational spectrum can be expanded quickly and efficiently, making the ACSV ideally suited for a wide range of military tasks. Three countries are already using the ACSV, which also demonstrates the system’s capabilities on an international level.
In addition, FFG is presenting the WiSENT 2 combat vehicle in an engineer vehicle configuration at its booth. The world’s most advanced multifunctional platform based on a Leopard 2 chassis can alternatively be configured and deployed as a recovery and mine-clearing tank as well as a protected bridge-laying vehicle. The system has already been sold to six Leopard 2 user nations and has been seamlessly integrated into existing maintenance and service structures there. Thanks to numerous modular equipment options, the WiSENT 2 can be optimally adapted to a wide variety of mission profiles while offering its crew the highest level of protection and safety in every operational situation.

The fourth vehicle on display at the booth is the TAHR, a light airborne vehicle developed by Flensburg Technology Systems GmbH, a subsidiary of FFG, which was procured by the German Armed Forces in October 2025. Developed to meet the specific operational requirements of the Special Forces (KSK), the lightweight 4×4 platform combines extreme off-road capability with high acceleration and exceptional driving stability. The vehicle system has already proven its capabilities in the field and offers maximum mobility and versatility for a wide range of mission profiles.

However, modern solutions from FFG will not only be on display at the company’s own booth at EUROSATORY 2026. Trade visitors can also expect another remarkable innovation at the GDELS booth: a 10×10 PIRANHA with a state-of-the-art recovery module from FFG, which transforms the vehicle into an extremely versatile support platform. Equipped with a 32-ton crane and two 22-ton winches, the system is capable, among other things, of moving heavy loads and recovering damaged vehicles. The entire system is operated by a three-person crew, which monitors and controls all work processes using special software and modern touchscreen systems.
With a balanced mix of innovative new and enhanced developments as well as proven, commercially available systems, FFG is once again showcasing itself at this year’s EUROSATORY as a high-performance, customer-focused systems provider for armored vehicles. However, the company’s ambitions do not end with the delivery of modern systems: FFG’s visions and concepts are long-term in nature and are geared toward the future requirements of a defense policy environment that is characterized today more than ever by innovation, creativity, and efficiency.
Interested visitors can find FFG at EUROSATORY at Booth J340 as part of the German joint pavilion.
