Prague, 21 October 2026 – Czech company KBP INTERNATIONAL s.r.o. is officially unveiling its new GRYF unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) at Future Forces Forum 2026 in Prague, in the presence of the President of the Czech Republic. The new platform is designed for modern air defence and responds to the growing need for effective and cost-efficient solutions to protect airspace.
GRYF is a long-endurance UAV platform capable of carrying various counter-drone systems. It is designed for extended patrol missions and active response to aerial threats as part of a layered air defence system. Its design reflects the changing nature of modern conflicts.
“Modern conflicts are fundamentally changing the requirements for air defence. Today, advanced technology alone is not enough. Cost efficiency, fast response and the ability to deploy systems on a larger scale are equally important. These are exactly the needs we aim to address with our solutions,” says Katerina Fisova, CEO of KBP INTERNATIONAL.
Czech Technology and In-House Manufacturing Capabilities
The launch of GRYF marks another step forward for KBP group, building on more than
30 years of experience in manufacturing composite aircraft structures.
The group combines its own development and manufacturing capabilities in UAVs, aircraft piston engines and advanced manufacturing technologies. One of its key strengths is the ability to manage the entire process, from design and prototyping to serial production of key UAV components. KBP also works with international technology partners to develop advanced solutions for modern air defence.
“Europe needs more than just new defence technologies. It also needs the capacity to produce them in sufficient quantities. We see the combination of in-house development, modern manufacturing technologies and serial production capacity as one of our key competitive advantages,” adds Katerina Fisova.
Strengthening Europe’s Defence Capabilities
To meet the growing demand for defence technologies, KBP group is investing in expanding its manufacturing facilities. Over the coming years, the group plans to launch the next phase of its expansion, with the aim of increasing its production area from approximately 15,000 m² to 60,000 m².
The new facilities will support both KBP’s own products and cooperation with European aerospace and defence manufacturers. Through these investments, KBP aims to strengthen Europe’s defence manufacturing capacity and create opportunities for larger international projects.
