Capcom should also be revealing her release date there too, and we ran the numbers as to when that might be
After many months of waiting, Ingrid finally received her teaser trailer for Street Fighter 6 a few weeks back, and we’ll apparently be seeing a lot more of her very soon.
Capcom just announced that Ingrid’s official gameplay trailer is releasing tomorrow, April 22.
They revealed her showcase will be dropping at 4 p.m. PT / 7 p.m. ET, so get your popcorn buckets ready.
The timing on this announcement is certainly interesting considering a credible leak just appeared online that claimed to reveal the full Street Fighter 6 Season 4 DLC roster including a big Final Fantasy crossover — though we’ll probably never truly know if this was a coincidence or not.
We still don’t know Ingrid’s exact release date besides the general “late Spring” window, but Capcom will presumably give fans the day of her arrival tomorrow.
If we calculate the timeframes between gameplay trailers and releases for the other Season 3 characters, though, it could give us a good indication of when she’ll be ripping into our dimension.
Sagat and C. Viper both launched less than a month after their trailers dropped while Alex was around a month and a half.
So that would put Ingrid likely around mid-to-late May or early June, but if we were taking bets, we’d probably say late May.
With Evo Japan 2026 taking place from May 1–3, there’s a strong chance Ingrid will have an early playable demo at the event too.
Capcom previously offered early trials for Akuma and then Elena at Evo Japan 2025, so we expect that is going to be the case with Ingrid also.
We recently delved into Ingrid’s incredible power to open doors to / alter different worlds or dimensions that make her more busted than probably everyone else in the series and could quite literally open doors to more crossovers if the aforementioned leak is real.
It’ll be very intriguing to see just how much if anything Capcom kept from Ingrid’s previous playable appearances in Capcom Fighting Evolution and Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max.
In those games, Ingrid had access to a range of different specials like projectiles, counters, and a spinning and a flip kick though we suspect they’re going to evolve her quite a bit from where she was over two decades ago.
Capcom will presumably lean in harder with these reality-warping powers, but we’ll have to wait a little longer to see.
Ingrid is set to close out the Season 3 content for Street Fighter 6 following Sagat, C. Viper and Alex, but it’s unknown if she’ll be coming with the Season 4 balance update like the past two years since Capcom just released a roster-wide balance patch with Alex last month.
Stay tuned to EventHubs when Ingrid’s trailer drops for more information about her gameplay and the movelist details that should come out right after.
