On his way to Washington, D.C., in a helicopter for UFC Freedom 250, Ilia Topuria has once again sent a chilling warning to Justin Gaethje.
This weekend, undisputed lightweight champion Topuria and interim titleholder Gaethje lock horns in the main event of the White House card, and tensions between the two fighters have now reached a boiling point on fight week.
Initially, during the buildup, both showed respect to each other, and “El Matador” even made it clear that he is looking to become friends with Gaethje after their title unification bout.
However, in a recent interview, “The Highlight” took personal digs at the Georgian-Spaniard and ‘crossed the line,‘ after which the bad blood between the two started brewing. Whatever mutual respect they once had began to fade away real quick. Recently, Topuria quipped:
“Justin, you in trouble. I’m gonna cut you down like a tree. You wanna talk? Do it. Couple more days, I’ll put you to sleep.”

While Justin Gaethje tried to clear the air by posting on X that he did not make personal comments about Ilia Topuria’s divorce, “El Matador” quickly pointed out everything else “The Highlight” and his father had said about him in a recent video.
Check out what Justin Gaethje’s father said about Ilia Topuria below:
Gaethje posted:
“Proving my point. Insufferable little bi*ch boy. Never said a thing about your wife. You want to speak words to my father, then act like I crossed some line. We already fighting buddy.”
To which Topuria replied:
“You should’ve kept your father out of this. He was the one calling me a short guy and saying you’d smash me, all while holding a beer in his hand. Then you started talking about my divorce and telling the world you wouldn’t want to be my roommate. Idiot. First, we’re fighting, not dating. Second, I’m not looking for a roommate. When I put you to sleep, and you’re lying there next to the rose, I’ll look at your father and ask him one simple question: Who’s the short one now? I’m gonna break you, Justin.”
