It’s finally time again for Evo 2026 and as always for the main event, it’s taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.A.
There are far too many notable players to list in this introductory paragraph, but it’s generally safe to assume that any big player in the main games represented will be there and will be bringing their absolute A game to try and sit on the stage for their game’s top 8 slot.
Basically all pro tours are present at Evo 2026, with it being a Street Fighter 6 Premier Event for the Capcom Pro Tour, a Master+ event for Tekken 8 on the Tekken World Tour, a Platinum event on the Arc World Tour for Guilty Gear Strive, an SNK World Championship qualifier for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, a CyGames Cup qualifier for Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising and a direct qualifier to the Virtua Fighter Open Championship 2026 Special.
There are also Esports World Cup spots up for grabs for the eligible games, with two spots for Street Fighter 6 and four spots each for Tekken 8 and Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, respectively.
As for prize money, 2XKO boasts a $135,000 prize pool, Street Fighter 6 has a $100,000 prize pool, Tekken 8 has posted a $70,000 prize pool, a $54,800 prize pool is up for grabs in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, there’s $40,000 each for Guilty Gear Strive and Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, a $30,000 prize pool for Invincible VS, $25,000 prize pools each for Vampire Savior (Darkstalkers) and BlazBlue: Central Fiction and finally $20,000 each for the prize pools of Under Night In-Birth 2 [Sys:celes] and Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage.
In each of these cases, the prize pool is split between the top 8 placers except for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, where it trickles down to the entire top 24.
Street Fighter 6 leads the charge in entrants with over 2,400 signed up followed by Tekken 8 which has over 1,350 players. Next in line is 2XKO with 940 signups, though some of these are duos so the actual individual player number almost hit 1,100 and following that is Rivals of Aether 2 which surpassed the 1,000 mark.
Guilty Gear Strive is next in line with over 910 participants followed by Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising sitting at more than 450 competitors. Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves exceeded 440 signups and newcomer Invincible VS also mustered more than 400 registrants.
Vampire Savior (Darkstalkers) and BlazBlue: Central Fiction each sit at around the 250 mark and Under Night In-Birth 2 [Sys:celes] also went above 200 players. Finally, rounding out the main roster, is Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage which has more than 100 players.
Side tournaments are of course also being conducted aplenty and we’ll do our best here at EventHubs to keep you updated on as many of those as possible alongside the main event coverage.

Friday, June 26, also contains the Evo Showcase with a full day’s worth of panels featuring Dead or Alive, The Cannon Awards, Rivals of Aether 2, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, Invincible VS, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, Under Night In-Birth 2, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game and the exhibition match of Tyler1 vs. Ludwig with the full schedule found in the gallery below.
