This industrial cooperation will include the implementation of a major transfer of high value-added activities to Poland, including the assembly of rocket engines and the production of critical components by PGZ subsidiaries. Thales in Belgium and Mesko are committed to proactively exploring opportunities for joint development in the fields of effectors and advanced propulsion systems. This collaborative effort will ensure European resilience in the manufacture of 70 mm ammunition for various platforms and consolidate Thales in Belgium’s leading position in the European market of 70 mm rocket systems. The 70mm Laser-Guided Rocket has become a game-changing capability in current conflicts, notably due to its effectiveness in countering drone threats from multiple platforms.
By mobilising the industrial know-how of Mesko as well as the expertise of Thales in Belgium in guidance and navigation technologies, this partnership will generate innovative solutions with high added value, capable of expanding the field of applications and maximising the operational performance of 70 mm rocket systems in Poland.
This collaborative approach, based on technology transfer and the sharing of skills, promotes the establishment of strong and integrated value chains at European level It enables an acceleration in the development of advanced defence solutions, ensures a high level of quality and security, and better anticipates the operational needs of customers both in Poland and throughout Europe.
