Endfield Version 1.5 “Dreamscape of Wind and Snow” brings new Operators, Snowy Forest, time-loop exploration, and more this September

GRYPHLINE has revealed Version 1.5, “Dreamscape of Wind and Snow,” for Arknights: Endfield, which is set to launch on September 2, 2026. The update takes you into the mysterious Snowy Forest, while also introducing new Operators, new exploration content, a time loop puzzle area, and more.

So, Version 1.5 takes you to the mysterious Snowy Forest, located near Yinglung Pass. Here, you’ll meet Typhoeus, a familiar Operator from the original Arknights, as she searches for stories surrounding ancient Sami legends. This forest is covered in an enchanted fog that causes travellers to lose their way and repeatedly circle back.

As you and Typhoeus venture deeper into the area, you’ll uncover its secrets and eventually face the new regional boss, Gloomwald’s Rage.

Arknights: Endfield Version 1.5 update: New Operators

So, Version 1.5 also brings two new playable characters, and they’re as follows:

1. Arknights: Endfield New Operator: Typhoeus

One of the biggest additions in this update, according to me, is Typhoeus, a new playable Nature Striker from Rhodes Island. This new 6-Star Operator fights with a massive bow and can take to the air to attack multiple enemies while avoiding ground-based attacks. Her abilities allow you to deploy a Barrage Array, which slows enemies and helps you deal Nature Burst damage.

2. Arknights: Endfield New Operator: Purrchena

So, Purrchena, the Brand Ambassador for the Ætherside Syndrome Relief Foundation, is a Physical Defender 6-Star Operator who uses her shield to protect nearby teammates. You can also throw gift boxes that heal allies or provide different support effects during combat.

The good news is that you can recruit Purrchena for free thanks to the Purrchena Tribute Event, which begins on September 24, 2026. Not only that, but you can also obtain her recommended weapon, Dessert Moment, through the event. By completing all six missions, you’ll have enough copies to maximize the Potential of both Purrchena and her weapon.

Explore Suiming through a mysterious time loop

Starting September 24, 2026, you’ll be able to explore the new Suiming area, which turns an entire city into a massive puzzle. The city is trapped in a repeating 15-minute time loop, with the rising and failing tides changing the available routes and revealing previously inaccessible areas.

You’ll need to collect different parts needed to repair the Waking Bell while using clues from each loop to uncover the city’s past. Interestingly, the items you collect will remain with you even after the loop resets, allowing you to gradually make progress and discover new paths.

Version 1.5 adds new challenges and activities

Beyond the main story and exploration content, Version 1.5 will also introduce several activities to keep you busy:

• Trial of the Bow: A new combat challenge focused on testing your squad’s abilities.
• Chubby Lung Attacks: Another event offering additional gameplay and rewards.
• Runners’ Steeplechase: A new activity that puts your movement and timing to the test.
• Echoes of War: New seasons will arrive, bringing more combat challenges and rewards.

Dreamscape of Wind and Snow gets a Nordic-inspired soundtrack

Lastly, the new Snowy Forest setting will also feature a new musical direction inspired by Sámi musical culture. The soundtrack blends Nordic folk influences with electronic music, JRPG-style compositions, and the supernatural atmosphere of the game. For the update, the team has collaborated with Finnish electronic musician Vilma Jää to create music that fits this setting.
