Rheinmetall is supplying further artillery ammunition to Ukraine. A NATO member state has commissioned Rheinmetall to supply several thousand 155mm artillery shells and propellant charges. The contract value, which was recognised in the second quarter of 2026, is in the mid double-digit millions of euros. Production has already begun, and the order is due to be completed before April 2027. The ER02A1 B/B projectiles are manufactured by Rheinmetall Expal Munitions in Spain. The Department of Defense partnered with the Office of Personnel Management to recruit hundreds of software engineers for voluntary assignments following a nearly 11% decline of its workforce. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has launched a formal inquiry after two members of the Tennessee National Guard shot and killed a civilian shortly before 4 a.m. Sunday. According to the Memphis Police, as officers responded to a shots-fired call in the early hours of July 5 they observed an armed man carrying a handgun fleeing the scene.
