Brawl Stars Bolt Guide: Abilities Breakdown
Bolt’s Traits
So, Bolt has two traits, with the first one charging Super whenever you move, and the second trait is that your movement speed increases as you keep moving around.
Bolt’s Attack: Battle Bumper
With this, you can roll into your enemy Brawlers to deal damage. The best part? You can deal more damage depending on your movement speed, so keep moving and attacking.
Bolt’s Super: Overdrive
Now, with the Overdrive Super, you literally go into overdrive, gaining both damage reduction and movement speed. During this state, you also leave behind a damaging trail for a few seconds.
Tips for using Bolt’s Super
- Keep moving during Overdrive: I believe you waste the potential of his Super by standing still. So, you should use the extra speed you gain to weave around enemies, dodge attacks, and also leave as much damaging trail as possible on the battlefield.
- Control objectives with the damaging trail: So, in modes like Hot Zone, where enemies need to stay in a specific area, your damaging trail can be really annoying to deal with. I mean, even if they avoid you, they’ll often have to go through the damaging trail and incur damage.
Brawl Stars Bolt Guide: Gadgets, Star Powers, and Hypercharge
Gadgets
Oil Change
By using Oil Change, you can gain a consumable shield based on your current movement speed. This Gadget has a 15-second cooldown.
Bouncy Ball
While the Bouncy Ball Gadget lets you jump straight to your desired target location to deal area damage. Moreover, this gadget also breaks the environment, but you lose all your movement speed when you land. This Gadget has a 20-second cooldown.
Star Power
Toss Up
With this equipped, you can knock all enemies upwards when you’re at full speed.
Unstoppaball
And with the Unstoppaball Star Power, you gain immunity to crowd control, along with a top speed boost during your Super.
Best Gears for Bolt in Brawl Stars
Shield Gear or Health Gear
As a Tank, you need to sustain all incoming enemy damage and protect your teammates. So, I suggest going with either Shield or Health Gear. With Health Gear, you’ll recover 50% more Health, and by equipping the Shield Gear, you gain an additional 900 Health as a consumable shield that regenerates in 10 seconds when you are at full health.
