Air Base Karup (Karup, Denmark), 2026-08-17: During today’s German-Danish Defence Network Forum at Karup Air Base (Denmark) Flensburg Technology Systems (FTS) and SIMA Innovation (SIMA) have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to combine their expertise in military vehicle platforms and advanced ringmount and weapon mount technologies. The partnership will focus on joint development, system integration and coordinated market activities aimed at delivering enhanced capabilities to armed forces worldwide.
At a time when European nations are rapidly strengthening their defence capabilities, the two companies believe that closer industrial cooperation is essential to accelerate the delivery of operationally relevant and future-ready solutions, which can make a difference on tomorrows battlefield.
By bringing together German platform expertise and Danish ringmount innovation, FTS and SIMA will promote solutions built on open architecture and modularity, enabling customers to upgrade and adapt capabilities as operational requirements evolve.
The cooperation also demonstrates the importance of a strong and resilient European defence industrial base, where cross-border partnerships help accelerate rearmament efforts while ensuring armed forces have access to state of the art systems that remain relevant well into the future.
