- Clash Royale Season 88 introduces Hero Electro Wizard and Evolution Electro Giant.
- Shocktober brings a horror-themed Album Event and the return of C.H.A.O.S.
Supercell has officially revealed Clash Royale’s October 2026 season, and Season 88 will follow the “Shocktober” theme. Interestingly, the season arrives almost exactly as recent leaks suggested, with Hero Electro Wizard and Evolution Electro Giant both debuting.
The October season also brings the return of C.H.A.O.S, a new horror-themed Album Event, the CRL 20 Win Challenge, and a community event where everyone will have to work together to keep the lights on.
Clash Royale: Everything coming with the October 2026 season
Hero Electro Wizard
The Hero Electro Wizard keeps the familiar Electro Wizard mechanics but gets some major upgrades as a Hero. Hero Electro Wizard stuns enemies when he lands and whenever he attacks, while also being able to hit two targets at once.
His Hero ability takes this even further by releasing a large surge of energy. Once activated, two beams lock onto the closest enemies, stunning them and dealing continuous damage for as long as they remain connected.
Evolution Electro Giant
Evolution Electro Giant is the second major addition to Season 88, and his new mechanic revolves around a special Zap Pack. The Zap Pack charges every few seconds before releasing a shockwave around the Electro Giant.
Each pulse removes levels from everything caught within its range, causing affected troops and other units to visibly shrink. Supercell describes the mechanic as similar to Royale Chef’s ability, but working in reverse.
Events and other updates
C.H.A.O.S is also returning for a third season, with 20 new cards joining the pool. This time, every modifier you pick will have the same rarity, while you are guaranteed to receive an Epic modifier by your fourth pick.
The October Album Event is themed around horror movies, fitting the Shocktober season. You will collect Snippets, complete the different Album sections, and unlock rewards as you progress.
The CRL 20 Win Challenge is also making a return in Season 88. The format remains straightforward: reach 20 wins, but three losses will knock you out of the challenge.
Later in October, Clash Royale will introduce a community event called Keep the Lights On. The entire community will share a single goal, with your’ choices affecting a shared energy meter. Some choices will help maintain the power, while others can reduce it. Where the community ends up will determine the reward that everyone receives at the end of the event.
