Conor McGregor does not want a new UFC contract. The 38-year-old has just one bout left before he becomes a free agent, and he has already stated that he plans to return to the octagon for his last dance next year during International Fight Week.
Most recently, talking about his fighting future, “The Notorious” said that he can’t wait to be free from his UFC duties so that he can enter the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship ring. McGregor, who is a part-owner of BKFC, has previously expressed his desire to step into the ring and win BKFC gold someday.
In a recent video, McGregor once more showed interest in fighting under the BKFC banner after his last UFC bout. He said:
“Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship is unstoppable at the moment. What a few months we have had. And God bless it. God bless true fighting. I can’t wait to do it. One more to go. One more to go, and the Mac Daddy is free.”

Conor McGregor plans to take his time before final UFC bout
Conor McGregor’s UFC return after five years ended in just 69 seconds when he tore his ACL and meniscus while landing a wild flying kick in the opening second of the UFC 329 main event against Max Holloway. The Irishman kept falling to the ground and couldn’t put pressure on his lead. Thus, referee Mike Beltran stopped the contest, and Holloway won the rematch by TKO.
After the bout, McGregor underwent surgery to repair his torn ACL and meniscus. He now plans to take 9–12 months to recover so that he can shine in his last dance. During a recent interview with Mac Energy, “The Notorious” said:
