Seferia Matrix is a one-player roguelite game created and published by SurvivalTaktix. The game will be released on Pc on Nov. 9th, 2026. It takes place in a magical academy where players roll dice to combine them as needed to cast spells, increase the damage of those spells, and complete the player’s objectives for each run.
To cast a spell, players use 5 dice and utilize a Lock and Roll System. Players hold onto the results they want to keep and reroll all the dice they do not need in order to get the desired hand needed to cast a particular spell.
Players also have Sigils, which allow them to alter the face of specific dice so they can achieve a certain combination without having to reroll all the dice. In addition to the Sigil options, the user interface displays the spells available on the current hand of dice, allowing to quickly determine if they should pursue getting the correct hand or try to obtain a better combination.

Players’ artifacts add to their score and raise the damage output of spells. While some artifact bonus effects occur randomly, most bonuses apply when players successfully cast a spell.
Therefore, raising the amount of damage a player produces requires both creating the proper hand to cast a spell AND acquiring upgrades that affect how much value the player receives from their hand.
The academy has 3 schools: Arcana, Nihila, and Materia. Each school has a unique spell that can only be accessed using that school’s curriculum. As previously stated, Arcana: Flux allows players to release stored magical energy. Nihila: Erasure and Materia: Manifest belong to the other two schools.

After an update, these exclusive spells became the defining characteristics of each school after removing their former score and leveling bonus.
Players progress through assignments with set target scores and select from multiple difficulty levels using the school selection screen. The Guardian difficulty level is specifically designed as a boss rush: 20 mid-boss encounters shuffle among themselves, then there is a final boss in the last of the 21 encounters.
This shuffling creates different orders of encounter-specific obstacles each time the player starts again.
In addition to being able to move between locations on the campus map through individual buildings, such as the Canteen, Spellbook, and Records Buildings, players have access to a central hub area where they may manage their progression.
Notably, this progression goes beyond individual runs. Upgrades obtained by players during an attempt contribute to that particular run’s build; however, any permanent builds that were made will continue even after a run ends due to loss/failure. A new start does not equate to no prior upgrades for a mage.
Seferia: Matrix is expected to release on PC via Steam on November 9th, 2026, and a demo is also available if you are interested in trying it. Dev disclaims the use of AI for some of the artwork.
