For nearly sixty years, EURONAVAL has been at the forefront of major developments in the naval defence sector. For its 30th edition, held from the 3rd to the 6th of November 2026 at Paris Nord Villepinte, the exhibition will take place against an unprecedented backdrop, marked by major geostrategic upheavals, the resurgence of high-intensity conflicts, and the accelerated pace of technological change.
With just a few months to go before the event opens, the key issues that will shape this edition are becoming clear : high-intensity confrontations, the return of large-scale warfare, hybrid warfare and new forms of conflict, threats to critical infrastructure, capability innovation, the proliferation of drones, artificial intelligence and the integration of emerging technologies, as well as their implications for the evolution of naval doctrines. EURONAVAL 2026 will be a showcase for a naval sector entering a new era.
True to its role as a leading international platform for strategic thinking and dialogue,
EURONAVAL is preparing the upcomming edition with a series of web conferences “EURONAVAL Talks”, broadcast on its YouTube channel.

Following the first three episodes, focusing on port security, hybrid threats and energy selfsufficiency, the programe continues with three new conferences bringing together sailors, industry professionals, researchers and international experts to discuss the major changes taking place in the naval defence sector.
EURONAVAL TALK 4
(BROADCAST THURSDAY 9TH JULY)
FROM THE SEABED TO SPACE : UNDERSTANDING THE MARINE ENVIRONMENT IN THE SPACE AGE
From sensors deployed on the seabed and underwater surveillance systems to satellite imagery and secure communications, multi-domain data fusion is transforming the way in which States monitor, understand and conduct their operations at sea.
This session explores how the aggregation of data from space-based, surface and underwater sensors is redefining our understanding of the maritime environment and operational decisionmaking.
Discussions will focus on data fusion, the benefits and challenges of using civilian data,
and the growing role of AI.
- Commander (OF-4) Maxence Lesire, Officer in charge of Digital Strategy, French Navy General Staff
- María del Mar Pomares, Senior Business Development Manager, Maritime Systems, Indra
EURONAVAL TALK 5
(BROADCAST 15TH SEPTEMBER)
ELECTRONIC WARFARE AT SEA : DETECTION, DECEPTION, SURVIVAL
Modern naval operations rely on the ability to control, exploit and protect the electromagneticspectrum. From advanced sensors and integrated combat systems to decoys, jamming and signature reduction; electronic warfare lies at the heart of survivability at sea.
This panel discussion examines how naval forces are adapting to increasingly sophisticated
threats, why traditional paradigms of electronic warfare are no longer entirely relevant, and what effective electronic warfare will look like in the operational environment of the future.
- Mr Alasdair (Gilly) Gilchrist MBE MSM, defence electronic warfare consultant, Director of
ProgManager Ltd - Dr Thomas Withington, author and analyst specialising in electronic warfare, non-resident senior research fellow at the NATO Defence College
- Emmanuel Sagorin, Vice-Admiral (2S), Director of Naval Electronic Warfare Sales, Defence Mission Systems, Thales
EURONAVAL TALK 6
(BROADCAST 12TH OCTOBER)
THE ‘HIGH-LOW’ STRATEGY : RETHINKING NAVAL POWER IN THE AGE OF SATURATION
Modern navies face a growing paradox: increasingly sophisticated platforms are also becoming increasingly vulnerable to low-cost threats. The widespread use of drones, precision-guided weapons and autonomous systems is challenging assumptions regarding survivability, force structure and operational endurance.
This analysis explores how naval forces are adapting to saturation threats, the issue of ammunitionstocks and the changing economics of warfare.
- Admiral Stanislas Gourlez de la Motte (2S), naval adviser to the CEO of Naval Group
- Nick Childs, Senior Research Fellow for Naval Forces and Maritime Security, IISS
- Captain (OF-5) Jean Pierre Helluy, French Navy, ‘Strike’ adviser, Command Group, NATO AlliedMaritime Command (MARCOM)
