The 2026 IFBB Pro Asian Championships in Greater Seoul, South Korea, offered the chance for bodybuilders to advance their Olympia qualification campaigns across seven categories, just weeks out from the industry’s biggest show of the year. And, after making his 212 debut in Greater Seoul, Breon Ansley proved that those who are willing to go the distance have a greater chance of success.
Ansley, who won the Classic Physique Division trophy back-to-back at the Olympia in 2017 and 2018, has proven that there is still plenty of potential in his competitive career after his successful 212 victory in Asia. The Californian bodybuilder made the switch after placing fourteenth at the 2025 Olympia, and it seems like current 212 champion, Keone Pearson could have another serious threat on his hands.
“The Black Swan” came to bodybuilding after an injury took away his dreams of a career in football and has since gone on to become one of the flex game’s most recognizable stars. Ansley also won the Classic Physique title at the 2018 and 2019 Arnold Classic events. Shortly before hitting the stage in South Korea, Ansley shared a recent progress update on Instagram, explaining that his current conditioning was helped, in no small part, by “No pancakes for thirteen weeks.”
Of course, with the 2026 Olympia final just a few weeks away, Ansley will need to stay away from the pancakes for a little while longer.
