Teledyne FLIR OEM, a business unit of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY), has introduced Prism™ Ground ISR, a ready-to-deploy software stack for ground-based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) applications. Building on the recently announced Prism C-UAS, designed to counter aerial drone threats, Prism Ground ISR brings advanced computational imaging technologies and AI-powered perception capabilities to ground-based platforms. This enables the rapid detection, classification, and tracking of a wide variety of targets, including the detailed classification of specific types of military vehicles.
Advanced Protection for Ground-Based Operations
As security situations become increasingly complex, the need for continuous situational awareness also grows. Whether it’s border surveillance, protecting first responders, or securing critical infrastructure—operators need solutions that detect threats earlier and with greater precision. Prism Ground ISR meets these requirements by combining patented image enhancement techniques with advanced AI models. The result is precise target detection with significantly fewer false alarms in challenging and complex operational environments.

AI-Powered Detection and Tracking
Prism Ground ISR combines AI-based object detection with computational imaging to increase detection range, improve target tracking continuity, and reduce false alarms. This enables users to respond faster and with greater confidence. The software utilizes turbulence compensation, defogging, and super-resolution to enhance
The software was trained using real and synthetic electro-optical and infrared datasets from Teledyne FLIR OEM. As a result, it supports the detailed classification of military vehicles and improves target detection in complex environments. Prism Ground ISR supports up to 15 object classes by default. With Prism AIMMGen™, additional target classes can be quickly added based on synthetic data as mission requirements evolve.
