We recently learned that Street Fighter League 2026 will have its total prize pool increased from last year’s $500,000 to $700,000. It would seem that Capcom wants to make this year’s Street Fighter League feel special with the addition of a contest for the artists of the fighting game community.
Evidently, the Street Fighter League is in need of a mascot. Fans can enter in their designs for what the Street Fighter League mascot will look like for a chance to have it redrawn by a professional illustrator that will be used for the tournament circuit.
“The Street Fighter League needs a mascot!” said Capcom Fighters over on X.
“Enter the SFL Mascot Design Contest for a chance to have your winning design redrawn by a professional illustrator and become part of Street Fighter League history!”
To celebrate this, everyone will receive a unique in-game title that highlights the mascot. The winning artist will also gain access to an exclusive one-of-a-kind in-game title as an additional prize.
Contest entries must be submitted before May 6 at 11:59PM JST. Of course, it’s important to highlight how the rules explicitly state that the usage of generative AI is prohibited. Last year, the winning entry for the Street Fighter 6 art contest was disqualified once it was determined they used generative AI, so Capcom is clearly serious about this rule.
