Future Friends Games has announced the launch of the beloved retro mini-roguelike title, Slots & Daggers, on both Android and iOS on August 17, 2026, for $3.99. Developed by Friedemann, the indie title has received strong player reception on PC and consoles, and is now open for pre-registration on mobile.
Get ready to enjoy a strange mix of slot machines, fantasy, and roguelike combat
So, Slots & Daggers is a wonderfully strange little blend of a slot machine and fantasy RPG, born from Friedemann’s desire to make something radically different after his last game, SUMMERHOUSE. For me, the idea is simple yet surprisingly fun, with fast-paced battles, numbers, goblins, and classic roguelike mechanics built around spinning a slot machine.
Moreover, the game brings together weird fantasy worlds, crude drawings of strange little characters, retro visuals, crunchy old-school hip-hop drum machines, and even that satisfying arcade-style “pling” as the reels spit out coins. You’ll have fun clearing the campaign since it takes around 4 to 8 hours, or you can take part in Egg Arena, which is a high-score mode to test your skills.
What I love the most about Slots & Daggers is that it’s a solo project, with the dev keeping things small, focused, and intentionally short. Overall, with its unusual slot-based combat, quirky art style, and addictive arcade feel, this one’s actually a fun title that you should look out for.
Slots & Daggers is launching on both Android and iOS on August 17, 2026, for $3.99. So, you can now pre-register for the game via the Google Play Store or App Store.
