Senop and Nammo Raufoss AS (Norway) combined their forces to improve the accuracy, effective shooting distance and the night fighting performance of the widely popular M72 weapon system. As a result of the collaboration, Senop is launching a compact and accurate multi-weapon thermal smart sight, Senop OSKAR TWS, which is compatible with the NAMMO M72 shoulder fired systems.
Senop delivers high-quality thermal imaging for rapid target detection and engagement in versatile and challenging environments. The Senop OSKAR Thermal Weapon Sight includes an attachable Laser Range Finder with a wireless/wired connection to the sight. These features enable operators to rapidly measure target ranges and increase the first hit probability.
The Senop OSKAR TWS features a quick-release attachment for efficient mounting and dismounting off the M72 weapon. OSKAR´s ballistic computer increases the overall accuracy and performance of the weapon system.
“The M72 is world widely used and well known as a great shoulder fired system. Small, low weight, extendable, safe and reliable with extraordinary performance. The cooperation with Senop to develop the OSKAR TWS has been great over the last 18 months and we are really excited to qualify the thermal sight later this year for the M72 systems to give our customers the extra night capability”, says Quoc Bao Diep, Product Director at Nammo.
“We are proud to introduce the Senop OSKAR TWS, which is truly the next generation multi-weapon thermal sight”, says Aki Korhonen, President of Senop. “The M72 is used in over 40 countries around the world to great effect and we wanted to enhance it by providing it with a high-quality thermal sight”, continues Korhonen.
From the start, the mission of the sight’s design has been to enable it to function with a comprehensive set of different weapon systems in addition to the M72, e.g. assault rifles and machine guns. OSKAR TWS provides operators with personal thermal capability and the flexibility to move the unit between platforms.

According to Senop´s Product Management Director Antti Lommi, the sight enables fast engagement with greatly improved effective range. “The compatibility with iron and red-dot sights and OSKARs fixed 2x optical magnification and digital zoom really help to widen the range where you can effectively fire”, Lommi enlightens. With a user friendly mounting bracket that requires no boresighting, the sight can be attached or detached quickly, and its fast release design ensures rapid separation from the weapon after discharge”.
The Senop OSKAR TWS is available to experience at the EUROSATORY 2026 exhibition, held in Paris on 15-19 June 2026. You can explore it at Senop’s stand in the Finnish Pavilion (Hall 6, G146) as well as at NAMMO´s stand (Hall 6 – E94, EF145) together with the NAMMO M72 shoulder fired system. The official announcement of the new capability to the NAMMO M72 shoulder fired systems will take place during the NAMMO´s reception on Tuesday 16 June 15:00-16:30.
