The Russian troops launched attacks on Ukrainian positions in the Pokrovsky direction, trying to take advantage of unfavorable weather conditions to complicate the activities of Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance. Fortunately, our defenders successfully repelled these attacks, as reported by Yuliya Stepanuk, head of the communications department of the 117th separate heavy mechanized brigade.
‘There were several mechanized assaults they are trying to carry out in bad weather when our drones cannot fly properly. This week, they attacked with 10 units of armored vehicles.’
According to Stepanuk, the Russian troops have shifted from infantry attacks to actively using armored vehicles, but these efforts did not yield the desired results. The Ukrainian military managed to detect and destroy some enemy equipment before it approached their positions. Another part of the equipment retreated, realizing the futility of the attack.
‘We observed two APCs that also tried to advance. They also failed – were detected in advance and hit. That’s how it all ended.’
Throughout the attacks on the Pokrovsky direction, the Russian troops unsuccessfully tried to take advantage of the bad weather to complicate the activities of Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance. Our defenders were able to repel these attacks, destroying part of the enemy equipment and preventing the enemy from advancing further.
This situation confirms that despite the enemy’s attempts to use unfavorable conditions to their advantage, the Ukrainian forces continue to actively respond to threats, maintaining control over the situation. The results of these clashes indicate significant effectiveness in the military actions of the Ukrainian command.
