After 12 months of intense assessment and debate, The Hackett Group® is excited to release the 13th 50 to Know and 50 to Watch procurement provider lists, the recently launched Hall of Fame procurement provider list and the 8th Future 5 — a celebration of innovative procurement tech start-ups.
Each year, Spend Matters analysts, now part of The Hackett Group’s Solution Intelligence team, rigorously assess the capabilities of procurement technology solutions across market sectors to arrive at a list that now totals 117 solution providers. These lists represent the best-in-class solutions that the industry needs to know about and the up-and-coming, growing providers to keep an eye on.
Note: For the 2025–2026 lists, The Hackett Group® evaluated approximately 220 procurement technology vendors globally. Eligibility for inclusion was based on participation in product demonstrations, enabling a consistent and objective assessment across all vendors evaluated.
The science behind the 50/50 selection
The 50 to Know and 50 to Watch lists represent the best technology providers serving procurement, finance and supply chain organizations. For over a decade, our analysts have determined the lists through rigorous data-driven analysis that closely resembles our SolutionMap numerical scoring process, and factors in, among other things, market presence, tech competency, innovation and solution delivery.

Changes this year in the 50 To Watch and the 50 To Know lists
The ‘50 to Watch’ are the relative newcomers that are pushing procurement forward — those we believe offer the latest and most innovative solutions on the market.
The ‘50 to Know’ list highlights leading technology and services providers that continue to raise the bar for procurement. These are the firms that set the industry standard and which every senior procurement or supply chain professional should know about.

The Hall of Fame
The ‘Hall of Fame’ honors those solution providers that have been on the 50 to Know list for 10 years or more.
The list serves as a better acknowledgment for vendors that are not only ‘Providers to Know,’ but have become synonymous with procurement tech itself. These providers not only support the S2P landscape and beyond, but continue to lead and innovate.

Summing up this year’s release of what we believe to be the best in procurement technology development and innovation, Nikhil Gaur, Spend Matters Director, Strategic Projects & Research Analyst, said:
“This is the thirteenth year we have released the 50/50 lists, and we are doing so earlier in the calendar than usual. The procurement tech market has only grown, and as such, debates among analysts about the included vendors were stronger than ever.
“Source-to-pay providers continue to populate our lists, but the 2025-2026 iteration features many new entrants from the intake & orchestration market, as well as providers that are leveraging AI in creative and impactful ways. We understand that these lists often serve as a starting point for organizations considering investments in procurement software to improve their processes, and we believe that the providers on the lists reflect the market and provide value to customers in unique areas.
“We hope that the annual releases of our 50/50 lists, complemented by the Future 5 (now in its eighth year) and the Spend Matters Hall of Fame, continue to inspire debate about future technology investments, and we look forward to continuing to release these lists in the years to come.”
