FALLS CHURCH, Virginia. General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) demonstrated its Vion Mission Partner Environment (MPE), a portable system combining coalition communications, artificial intelligence (AI), and zero-trust cybersecurity, during the Olympus Fires 2026 military exercise in the Pacific region, the company announced in a statement.
The suitcase-sized Vion kit includes AI-backed language translation, voice, video, chat, and email collaboration tools, along with AI-assisted software-development capabilities. During the exercise, GDIT also integrated Vion with its Defense Operations Grid-Mesh Accelerator (DOGMA) AI system to combine sensor data from multiple mission partners into a common interface with analytics.
GDIT says Vion is designed for rapid deployment in disconnected or austere environments and can link tactical-edge users with enterprise systems. The system can ingest data including uncrewed-aircraft surveillance feeds, maritime sensors, and satellite imagery for sharing among coalition partners.
