We were recently treated to a new trailer for the upcoming Street Fighter film. It’s set to hit theaters on October 16, 2026.
Based on this trailer, it’s clear that there will be plenty of fight scenes. We likely have Street Fighter 6 Director Takayuki Nakayama to thank for that since it’s been reported that he had assisted with the rewrites of what was originally a “rough” script.
Polygon has reported that they’ve received an exclusive photo that’s featuring Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and Dan. Based on the scene, it looks like it might be from an event that’s near the end of the movie.
Ryu and Ken appear to have taken quite a bit of damage in this shot. They seem to be leaning on each other in order to help balance one another’s walking.
It also feels like Chun-Li has concluded an intense battle. The look on her face indicates that this might be an intense scene.
Dan Hibiki is also present in the shot. He definitely looks the least “beat up” compared to the other three. Is this because he was able to win his fights flawlessly? Of course, real Street Fighter fans will probably recognize that it’s probably because Dan’s efforts will likely barely contribute to the movie’s conclusion.
