Paramount Pictures recently dropped their second trailer for the Street Fighter movie that’s due to hit theaters on October 16, 2026. Evidently, they’re beginning to ramp up their advertisement campaign for the movie as we draw ever closer to that date.
Just recently, Capcom shared an update that’s coming to Street Fighter 6. To celebrate the Street Fighter movie, players will be able to obtain splash screens that capture the likeness of the actors behind various characters that coexist in both the movie and game.
“To celebrate the Street Fighter movie hitting theaters everywhere this October, we’re giving all #StreetFighter6 players special New Challenger images based on the characters from the upcoming film! Be sure to claim them from the in-game News starting on September 8,” said Capcom.
These splash screens showcase Noah Centineo as Ken Masters, Andrew Koji as Ryu, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, Cody Rhodes as Guile, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Joe Anoa’i as Akuma, Hirooki Goto as E. Honda, Olivier Richters as Zangief, Vidyut Jammwal as Dhalsim, Mel Jarnson as Cammy and David Dastmalchian as M. Bison.
Of course, fighters that are in the movie but not the game — such as Vega, Balrog, Dan and Juli — don’t have any splash screens. The same is true for combatants that are in the game but not the movie.
Regardless, players will be able to support their favorite actors from the movie by selecting these New Challenger splash screens for their ranked sessions.
