Micross announces the successful qualification and production release of its MIL-PRF-19500/240 axial leaded rectifier diode family, including the 1N645-1, 1N647-1, and 1N649-1. These diodes are QPL-qualified, and are available off-the-shelf today, or with custom screening available up to JAN, JANTX, JANTXV, or JANS quality levels.
Offering a direct drop-in for legacy devices, this new offering represents Micross’ continued commitment to securing the critical supply chains, offering aerospace and defense customers with a reliable near-shore source. The availability of these devices helps mitigate DMSMS (Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages) risks while supporting long-term lifecycle management of military and aerospace electronics.
Built in hermetically sealed DO-204AH glass axial packages with a Category I metallurgical bond, these diodes withstand extreme thermal shock (-65°C to +175°C) and severe mechanical vibration — delivering proven performance, long-term reliability, and full manufacturing traceability for military and aerospace power management applications across extended system life cycles.
This qualification builds upon Micross’ ongoing investments in its Hi-Rel Diodes business, including the modernization of its manufacturing operations and continued expansion of qualified product offerings. Together, these initiatives support government agencies, prime contractors, and system integrators seeking trusted, long-term sources for critical semiconductor components that enable the sustainment of legacy defense programs.
