I mean, who didn’t see this coming?
Former Heisman Trophy winner and NFL quarterback bust Johnny Manziel smashed podcaster and internet personality Bob Menery via first-round TKO in the main event of BRANDRISK 14 last night (Sat., May 24, 2026) inside the Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The fight started with both men wildly swinging sloppy punches at each other before Manziel eventually decided enough was enough and simply tackled Menery to the floor after throwing a few kicks.
Once the fight hit the mat, it was over.
Manziel quickly advanced into full mount and unloaded heavy ground-and-pound until the referee stepped in a little over two minutes into the opening round.
Check out the finish below:
Following the win, Manziel was asked whether he planned on fighting again.
“Probably not, but this was good enough for one time,” Manziel said before joking that he needed a cigarette afterward.
Menery, meanwhile, was not thrilled with the stoppage despite getting thoroughly mauled on the ground.
“At the end of the day, I was still fine, but he dominated me,” Menery said afterward. “I wish it had gone one more round, but it got called.”
I still don’t know who Bob Menery is, but for anyone unfamiliar with Manziel beyond random internet clips, “Johnny Football” was once one of the biggest stars in all of sports. He won the Heisman Trophy at Texas A&M before becoming a first-round pick (No. 22 overall) for the Cleveland Browns in the 2014 NFL Draft.
His NFL career famously spiraled out quickly, lasting just two seasons before he bounced around the Canadian Football League (CFL) and eventually retired from professional football.
Manziel’s chaotic rise and fall was later documented in Netflix’s UNTOLD series with the episode titled Johnny Football — which, for what it’s worth, is actually a pretty entertaining watch.
