It’s been three weeks since the fallout — and Jiri Prochazka isn’t done talking.
Earlier this month (Sat., April 11, 2026), Carlos Ulberg captured the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight title in emphatic fashion, knocking out Prochazka in the first round of UFC 327’s main event inside Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida (watch highlights).
Since that night, Prochazka has taken heat from fighters and fans alike for the strange fight — randomly hesitating when Ulberg appeared compromised, only to get finished moments later, which cost him a potential win, especially with a possible doctor’s stoppage looming.
Ulberg didn’t hold back either, dismissing the idea that Prochazka showed mercy and calling it “bulls—t” while labeling him a “pretender.”
Now, Prochazka is responding.
“I don’t want to hear this bulls—t from a stripper,” Prochazka told Ariel Helwani. “Yeah, this is it. I believe that in the cage, we fighters are one of the most rare people in the world. Does anybody think that I prepared my words after the fight to tell the crowd I was so merciful? Man, first of all, I didn’t say that — I didn’t say that because Joe Rogan told me it was a mercy. It was not about mercy, but I just saw Ulberg and he was hurt, and I didn’t accept the scenario of the fight.”
For what it’s worth, Ulberg previously worked as a male entertainer and party host for extra money before transitioning fully into MMA.
Despite the heated response, Prochazka is owning the loss.
“About the things that he’s saying right now, congrats, he’s the champion. Really, he caught me. I accept that,” Prochazka said. “But all these things about I played something… that was bulls—t what he said. I don’t want to say anything, and some excuses, I don’t care. I lost. I accept that, and let’s go back.”
Looking back, Prochazka still believes he was performing well before the finish.
”[I had an] amazing first round. One of the best first rounds that I ever did,” Prochazka said. “I was prepared 100 percent. That was one of the best preparations in my life. I’m so proud for my team, for my family, everybody around this. Everything was f—king successful. Everything was great. And there was only me who did these things in the fight. Yeah, I just lost my focus.”
“I don’t want to speak about that anymore,” Prochazka added. I don’t want to make an excuse about that. Doesn’t matter for me right now. The most important thing for me is to keep my girls safe and keep them healthy, and work on myself. That’s all. Other thoughts about the fight, about the excuses, loss, whatever — doesn’t matter. Only way out is forward.”
Prochazka is targeting a return this fall and has his eyes on top contenders like Magomed Ankalaev or Paulo Costa.
