Clash of Clans is continuing the WWE: Search for Cena season with plenty of WWE-themed events and challenges, and one of the biggest ones is the John Cena Challenge. Unlike a regular challenge level, this one also comes with a leaderboard, meaning players aren’t just looking for a three-star victory but also trying to finish the attack as quickly as possible.
I know, quite tricky to decide what strategy to use, so after looking for all possible solutions, here’s an easy way to secure the three stars and push for a fast completion time.
Introducing the John Cena Challenge in Clash of Clans
The John Cena Challenge works a little differently from the usual Clash of Clans challenges. Before you can attempt the level, you need to earn a Challenge Contract, which can be obtained from the new WWE Chests. These chests can also contain other rewards, including equipment.
Once you obtain a Challenge Contract, it becomes available in your Magic Snacks storage, allowing you to attack the challenge level freely for 24 hours. The challenge is also tied to a leaderboard, so completing it quickly can put you ahead of other players competing for the top times.
You technically only need two stars to earn the challenge decoration and 1000 XP. If you’re aiming for three stars and a good leaderboard position, you’ll want to follow a more precise deployment strategy.
How to beat the John Cena Challenge in Clash of Clans
There are plenty of approaches you can use for the John Cena Challenge. I have tried a few of my own and from different creators, and found the one from Judo Sloth pretty easy to work with, although it isn’t a very fast “leaderboard breaking” method.
Start by deploying a YEETer troop just above the Inferno Towers. The main purpose here is to trigger the Tornado Trap before sending in the rest of your troops. Getting rid of the Tornado Trap early makes the following deployment much safer.

Once the Tornado is gone, deploy the Super Yeti and YEETer at the top of the base. Follow this with a Rage Spell over the area to increase their damage and movement. After the Tornado Trap has been triggered, deploy the K.A.N.E troop. Next, use a Rage Spell at the bottom with the Giant, followed by a Freeze Spell on the defending heroes.
The reason for deploying K.A.N.E after the Giant has dealt with the Town Hall area is that K.A.N.E will continue targeting the Town Hall while it is still standing. If the Giant destroys it while K.A.N.E is already deployed, K.A.N.E can effectively remain in that area instead of moving through the base, slowing down the attack.
Once that section has been cleared, you’ll have Healing Spells remaining. Save these for the K.A.N.E troops and use them based on their movement. If they start moving sideways, drop a Heal ahead of them to keep them alive while they continue clearing the base.
From here, keep an eye on how your troops split. If the Giant and K.A.N.E troops move toward opposite sides, you can sometimes finish the challenge even faster.
