Gustavo “Cuban Assassin” Trujillo kept the BKB heavyweight title in Miami on Saturday, stopping late replacement Mick Terrill with a body shot in the second round at BKB 58. The finish extended Trujillo’s bare-knuckle record to 9-0, with nine knockouts.

Trujillo put his BKB heavyweight championship on the line at the James L. Knight Center on August 29 after the planned challenger, Mark O’Neill, was unable to travel because of visa issues. Terrill, a former BKB and BKFC heavyweight titleholder who had initially expected to work around the event as a commentator, accepted the fight on short notice.
The British fighter came in heavier at Friday’s weigh-in, listed at 263 pounds to Trujillo’s 241, and tried to close the gap early. Trujillo found openings at close range, then ended the contest with a shot to the body late in round two. The win marked Trujillo’s first BKB stoppage beyond the opening round. He entered the night at 8-0 with all eight prior BKB victories ending in round one, while his pro boxing record was listed at 12-0 with 11 knockouts before the Miami card.
Tyson Fury was in attendance for the main event and joined Trujillo in the ring to place the heavyweight belt on the champion’s shoulder. During the broadcast, Fury joked about his repeated retirements and said he could consider a move into bare-knuckle competition if the financial offer was right.
Former Olympic gold medalist and ex-WBA and IBF featherweight boxing champion Yuriorkis Gamboa made his BKB debut in the co-main event. The 44-year-old Cuban outpointed Yesner “Cuajadita” Talavera over five rounds, taking all three scorecards by 50-44.
Gamboa weighed 135 pounds, with Talavera at 135.8, and controlled the contest inside BKB’s three-sided Trigon. The result opens Gamboa’s bare-knuckle record at 1-0 and gives the promotion another experienced boxing name on its roster.
BKB 58 produced 10 knockouts across 12 fights, including title wins for Alberto Blas and Yunieski Gonzalez. Blas remained unbeaten at 9-0 with nine KOs after stopping Brandon Birr at 1:57 of round one to retain the super featherweight crown. Gonzalez moved to 3-0 with three knockouts by finishing Ethan George at 1:19 of round one for the cruiserweight title.
Elsewhere, Bianca Daimoni edged former UFC title challenger Aspen Ladd by unanimous decision in Ladd’s BKB debut, with scores of 49-46 twice and 48-47. Robert Duran Jr. stopped Ryan Spivey in the first round, while Yampier Ramirez, Gilberto Fuentes, Keegan Vandermeer, Kylle McMillan, Murat Kilimetov and Rudisel Mora also earned stoppage wins.
