“The Butcher” is coming to “Queen City.”
Professional Fighters League (PFL) today announced its return to Charlotte on Aug. 7, headlined by the middleweight matchup pitting former UFC bruiser Bryan Battle opposite Dalton “Hercules” Rosta. In addition, PFL tournament finalist Josh Silveira Takes on ex-Bellator title challenger Aaron Jeffrey.
The PFL Charlotte main card will also feature No. 9 ranked-Josh Fremd against Jhony Gregory. The event airs live in the U.S. on ESPN at 10:00 p.m. ET from inside Bojangles Coliseum with preliminary action streaming on the ESPN App beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET. Tickets for the event are available now at pfl.info/charlotte.
Additional matchups will be announced in the coming days.
“This is redemption for both fighters because they both are coming off key losses, but they both know what’s at stake,” said PFL CEO John Martin. “A win puts them right back in the conversation at the very top of our stacked middleweight division. We’re gonna be making further fight announcements coming up, but this is gonna be a fun card.”
