Hundreds of Fort Jackson football fans lined up to meet and greet members of the Carolina Panthers National Football League team during a visit to post, Oct. 20.
Several players, cheerleaders and Sir Purr the team’s mascot, went through drills at the U.S. Army Drill Sergeant Academy, and visited the Drill Sergeant Timothy Kay Soldier Performance Readiness Center before meeting fans at MWR Central in the Solomon Center.
The visit was part of the team’s salute to service efforts, and one of many community engagement events held on post each year.
