Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is continuing its breakneck pace for DLC character launches here in Season 3 following Rick Strowd last month.
Now it’s finally Duck King’s time to shine after many years on the sidelines, and SNK just dropped the dance master’s gameplay trailer for City of the Wolves.
Despite being a series staple since the first Fatal Fury, it’s been nearly 30 years since Duck King has appeared in a mainline title with Real Bout 2 though he was featured in The King of Fighters 11.
After training up Salvatore Ganacci in his unique ways, Duck King has decided to hit the streets of South Town once again to settle some scores of his own.
Fans of the eccentric dancer should easily be able to see that his sense of flair and style remains intact, but he’s also looking a bit different in his latest incarnation.
We can see in his trailer here that Duck King still has access to his old moves like Head Spin Attack and Break Storm as well as Break Spiral as one of his Gear Supers.
On the other hand, it looks as though he’s learned some new dance moves too with a special powered up mode multi-step attack with different follow-ups.
Duck King’s EOST story follows him on a quest for revenge again Wolfgang Krauser, though, he’ll need to have leveled up quite a bit to stand a chance against the emperor.
As for his Arcade Mode, the dancer sets out to win the new King of Fighters tournament in order to get the prize money to save his precious Pao Pao Café from being taken over.
Anri Katsu provides the Japanese voice for Duck King while Cedric Williams serves as his English voice actor.
Duck King is scheduled to release on Thursday, August 27, so fans won’t have to wait too much longer to try him out.
Season 3 for Fatal Fury already got Rick with Duck King up next followed by Kim Kaphwan, Laocorn and two more mystery fighters to close out the year.
