PFL lightweight titleholder Usman Nurmagomedov, who is now a free agent, has shown interest in fighting a top UFC 155-pound contender. Usman is expected to sign with the UFC soon and already has an opponent in mind whom he would love to face for his octagon debut.
The undefeated Russian phenom, during a sit-down with Kamil Gadzhiev, opined that taking on any lightweight contender could be a good headliner and a money fight. However, Usman believes that him taking on Arman “Batman” Tsarkyan will be a “big money fight.” He said:
“In terms of headlines and as a money fight, Usman Nurmagomedov against any UFC fighter is a good one. And against Arman… it’s a big money fight.”

Tsarukyan has seen his stock rise following his most recent Round 1 knockout win over Mauricio Ruffy. He has also gained a giant following through his social media presence, nonstop appearances in RAF and Hype FC, and streams with popular creators like N3on and Nina Drama.
“Batman” has become one of the UFC’s biggest stars in terms of both skill and popularity, and a potential showdown with Usman Nurmagomedov could be one of the biggest fights of the year.
Arman Tsarukyan is expected to fight for the title next
After Arman Tsarukyan’s most recent win, the UFC brass and Dana White seemed highly impressed, and he is now expected to challenge lightweight champion Justin Gaethje next year.
If “The Highlight” does not want to defend his belt, Tsarukyan has urged him to vacate it and retire, as he wants to get back in the octagon ASAP and win the undisputed UFC lightweight championship. Tsarukyan also believes “The Highlight” would rather retire than face him.
