The Street Fighter movie is set to hit theaters on October 16, 2026. Of course, Street Fighter has a history of producing poorly received movies from audiences. To help remedy this, Street Fighter 6 Director Takayuki Nakayama has been involved with the the direction of the movie’s story. Here’s hoping that this can make a big difference in the quality of the film. As we all know, Callina Liang is…

Econographics August 28, 2026 • 1:36 pm ET Print this page By Barbara C. Matthews Summer vacation is over. Washington is once again reaching for the “sticks” in its economic statecraft toolbox, from an escalating tariff fight with Canada to secondary economic sanctions targeting countries still trading with Iran.  Geoeconomic tensions seem poised for escalation as central bankers meet in the shadow of the Tetons and as Group of Twenty (G20) finance ministers prepare to gather near the Blue Ridge Mountains at the end of the month. One of the biggest challenges on their agenda will not be solved by…

Earlier tonight at UFC Shanghai, Song Yadong proved the oddsmakers wrong by sending Umar Nurmagomedov to the shadow realm. He handed the Russian fighter his second professional MMA loss and derailed Umar’s hopes of earning a title shot next. Round 1 of this bantamweight clash was a busy one for both fighters. After brief striking exchanges, Umar shot for a takedown and secured top control. Song briefly threatened his neck, but Nurmagomedov escaped the submission attempt. Song then successfully returned to his feet before the round concluded. In Round 2, Song did an excellent job stuffing Umar’s takedown attempts. A…

This week we’re doing another one of our series of military theory primers, this time focusing on a fairly simple contention: that the United States Navy is a load-bearing component of the global economy. I considered attempting to work in A.T. Mahan and the concept of command of the seas in here but simply outlining the basic argument about the navy’s role in sustaining global standards of living has run out more than 10,000 words, so a primer on Mahan will have to wait for another day. The argument here is actually quite easy to state as a series of…

A curl is supposed to be simple. You bend your elbow, the biceps works, and your arm gets stronger. Yet plenty of lifters finish a set feeling mostly forearms, shoulders, or general fatigue while their biceps seem strangely absent. That feeling does not automatically mean your curl is ineffective. Muscle sensation is not a direct measure of muscle growth. Still, if your goal is to train the biceps well, changing the setup can make the movement easier to control and can change where in the range of motion the biceps must work hardest. The biceps brachii crosses both the shoulder…
